Homesteading with Younger Students: Animals
This class is homesteading animal - focused. An in-depth look at skills in working with chickens, goats, donkeys, horses, and ducks. They will learn body structures, eating habits, husbandry (caring for and handling ) for each of these types of animals. Students will have hand-on opportunities to interact, care for, feed and clean up after each of these farm animals.

Elementary 4 Hours of Nature, Play and Cores.
Join us for all the outdoor fun of nature and farm-life, plus exploring reading time, math, science and history. We will add these important core subjects to a forest exploring, pond stomping, game playing good time, while building friendships. This class will be taught by skilled teachers who know how to teach to multiple levels at once. This class also includes 45 mins to one hour of arts, crafts and creations. Parents are not required in class but always welcome.

Students will learn the anatomy of farm animals, their habits, habitat and eating style. Students will experience fall, winter, ands spring changes with each group of animals. Students will care for them, clean up, trim, collect and clean eggs, and do all the general farmer things for chickens, ducks, goats, donkey, and horses. $150/per semester
General Science 10:00-10:55
Students will learn little about our home, Earth, its environment, its plants trees, electricity and some atoms. $200/per semester
5th/6th Grade Math 11:00-11:55
Students will increase their adding, subtracting, multiplication, division skills. Students will learn what a decimal, fractions and percents are and learn to graph. Students will learn basic geometry terms and prepare for pre-algebra. $150/per semester
Literature Around the World (join with 7th & 8th) 12:00-12:55
From poetry to fairytales, short stories, and beyond, students will learn about literary pieces and traditions all across the globe.. $150/per semester
World History (Join with 7th & 8th) 1:00-2:15 (Lunch Break included)

3-D PRINTING (4 WEEK SESSIONS)
Fundamentals of 3D Printing is a beginner-friendly 3D printing class for anyone who is interested in learning about 3D printing or just starting out! Students will learn 3D printer safety, printing techniques, and how to design their own projects using professional software!
Recommended Age: Middle-High School (11+)
Advanced 3D Printing is for students who are familiar with 3D printing and are looking to dive deeper! Students will build upon their existing skills and learn advanced features of printing and modeling software!

Gardening: Vegetables, Herbs and Flowers

The Garden Class provides an opportunity for students to play a hands-on role in the continued development of a year round garden
This fall students will participate in the-Construction of a greenhouse tunnel, preparation of garden beds, starting and growing vegetable and flower seedlings, transplanting and direct seeding crops, cultivation and care of growing plants, harvesting and enjoying the fruits of their labor.
Our Lessons will include basics of fertility and soil care, plant nutrient requirements throughout their life span, planning a fall garden working backwards from a target harvest date, seed sowing and seedling care, growing bed layout and planting, weed, pest and disease identification and management, season extension for winter harvest

We will be using Saxon's Algebra 1/2 as our text.

If a family signs up for classes with 3 or 4 children, each registered child receives a 10% discount at the time of registration. If a third or fourth child is added at a later date, the discount does not apply.

Life Science

This course will focus on a multi-disciplined approach to Biology and Anatomy learning. This is a flipped learning approach wherein class time will focus on project learning and conducting experiments. We will learn the scientific process, how to write lab reports, and explore the six kingdoms of life. This is a fun interactive class with at home videos and questions. Students should expect 1 hour of outside of class homework.

Emergency Preparedness

Transcripts as a high school 4th science or can be transcript as an elective credits.
Certified Emergency Rescue Team is a Georgia-approved fourth science credit for high school. CERT educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT volunteers can assist others in their community following a disaster when professional responders are not immediately available to help. •Includes a certificate with an ID# from Cobb County upon completion.

Life Skills/Social Skills
Monday ONLY
This class goes back and forth between life and social skill. In Life Skills students will learn how to properly do household chores like loading a dishwasher, sorting laundry, plunging a toilet and mopping a floor, they also will learn how to measure to hang a picture, use a screwdriver, hammer and nail., and make a menu for meals. Students will budget and making a shopping list for 3 meals. Lastly, students will learn a few car basics. In the area of social skills, students will learn about wellness, mindfulness, respectful words, turn taking, and how to handle conflict.

American Sign Language Introduction 1
Wednesday
American Sign Language (ASL) is the 3rd most common language in the United States. This course introduces the basics of ASL. It is designed for students who have little or no previous knowledge of ASL. In this course, learning is visually based. ASL questions, commands, and other simple sentence structures are introduced to develop conversational skills and beyond in ASL. Students will learn basic vocabulary, grammar, history, fingerspelling, numbers, and Deaf terminology. Information about the Deaf Community and Deaf Culture is introduced. This course is suitable for middle-school-age students who are serious about learning a language, high school language credit, or general community learning. Practice outside of class and/or Deaf events is required!

Middle School Math

This class will focus on working on the math fundamentals needed to confidently move into a pre-algebra problem. Hands-on activities help to solidify concepts, making them readable and understandable to students so these principles can be applied in higher levels of math. We will also learn logical thinking using games and activities. This allows students to better problem solve and rationally think through the problems.
